#7achak Movement Conference

December 2019

HAPPIH participated to the #7achak movement conference in Casablanca, Morocco.

“Periods are a natural biological process; unfortunately, the negative taboos associated to it condition many women to understand menstruation as something to be ashamed of. I strongly believe that having informed public conversations about menstruation will empower both women and the society as a whole ! There is still a long way to go toward education around women’s health and menstruation in all the countries of the world, let’s start to make a change today and trivialise menstruations! » explained Mariyem Sqalli during her speach.
